Job Description
The position of Administrative Assistant / Sales Administrator is a key role in executing daily operational efficiency & organizational objectives. Primary responsibilities include customer service support, organization & maintenance of sales databases as well as general administrative duties throughout the office (as needed). Success in the role can lead to advancement and new opportunities. This person will report directly to the Director of Customer Service & Inside Sales.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Supports sales leadership with high profile customer requests promptly and accurately. This includes preparation of submittals, expediting sales orders, direct sales billing, etc.
- Maintains sales databases including our CRM and provides support to the sales team as required
- Develops and maintains a knowledge of our products, pricing, promotions, procedures, and other important issues.
- Seeks out and develops improved processes to improve efficiency and productivity.
- Assists with administrative functions including operation of the phone system, filing, registrations/travel accommodations, etc.
- Ability to work independently as well as a team member
Qualifications & Skills
- A college degree is preferred but not required for the right candidate
- Attention to detail, exceptional organization and ability to multi-task are essential
- Strong communication skills, including both verbal/phone and written
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe and related products; Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are preferred
- ERP (Epicor) experience is a bonus
- Customer Service background preferred

Job Description
The Inside Sales Representative position is responsible for developing, maintaining and enhancing customer relationships through product knowledge, problem-solving and responsiveness. You will partner with the Outside Sales Representatives on a regular basis and function in a team environment reporting to the Director of Inside Sales & Customer Service.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Actively engage customers to fully identify needs, process inquiries, interact with vendors, prepare quotations, and secure orders both independently and in partnership with the OSR
- Manage all aspects of a project/order including submittal preparation, vendor coordination, scheduling, deliveries, emergencies and billing disputes
- Utilize an ERP/operating system and CRM to manage all aspects of customer engagement. Experience with Epicor is preferred however not a requirement
- Demonstrate a high level of product knowledge and participate in training seminars across all product categories in an effort to deliver best in class technical support
- Occasionally travel with OSR to better understand customer needs, assess future opportunities and strengthen the overall relationship
Qualifications & Skills
- 3-5 years’ experience in industrial MRO, valve & automation, steam, and chemicals is preferred, willing to train the right candidate
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, time-management and organization
- Ability to work independently and multi-task while maintaining exceptional attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe and related products
- ERP (Epicor) experience is preferred
