RARITAN GROUP Announces New Hires

Edison, NJ – April 12, 2021 – Raritan Group – In their dedication to quality, service and continued expansion, Raritan Group is pleased to announce the hiring of several new staff members, including two new Business Development positions. These new hires are comprised of family, old friends, and new faces with extensive knowledge and expertise in their respective fields.

The new hires include Jim Caratura, Bob Varela, Kelly Perry and Patrick Richardson.

The newly created Director of Business Development position at Raritan Group has been filled by Jim Caratura. In this role, Jim will be supporting the sales team as well as building and serving the existing network of municipal and private water & wastewater utilities and collaborating with the A/E community. With over 35 years of experience across all aspects of water resources, wastewater, O&M, environmental, and sustainability services, Jim will play an essential role in Raritan Group’s future growth and success.

Bob Varela has rejoined Raritan Group after more than 30 years in the Industrial and Manufacturing business of Engineered Piping products, as a new Business Development Manager, Industrial Division. Bob has worked in several industry positions in warehousing, logistics, purchasing, sales, operations, and business ownership. His most recent experience working with a manufacturer as Director of Sales and Distribution for the Northeast and Puerto Rico has him prepared and excited to return back to “his roots” and up for the task of moving Raritan ahead of the competition.

Kelly Perry has joined the team as an Outside Sales Representative at Raritan Group. Kelly is an HDPE product specialist with extensive experience in working with and selling to utilities, engineers, manufacturers, and distributors. She will be calling on contractors in Northern NJ and New York with a focus on customer service as well as developing and cultivating new relationships in the utility and transportation markets.

A 4th generation Richardson, Patrick Richardson grew up working summers at Raritan Group. Patrick was sweeping floors and rolling quarters at age 10. After college, he returned to Raritan and began automating valves and providing field service for Raritan Valve & Automation. After two years at RVA, Patrick started working for Raritan Supply at the counter gaining experience and industry knowledge. After four years of maintaining accounts and managing the counter, Patrick has moved to Outside Sales as Municipal Sales Specialist. New to the OSR role, Patrick will be servicing municipalities in the Northern half of New Jersey, Southern New York, and Long Island.
